Where Am I?

How many of you remember this picture?
It was the first time in 500 years that a pope met the Patriarch of Constantinople. Paul VI and Patriarch Athenagoras - 1964.
This meeting following the discussions  among various religious leaders during Vatican II was the impetus that lead to Tantur. Pope Paul VI entrusted the fund raising and other details to Fr. Hesberge of Notre Dame. Tantur was built with the generosity of Mr. And Mrs. O'Shaughnessy of St. Paul, MN.
This Institute has welcomed thousands of scholars from all faiths.
The aim is to seek Christian Unity, broaden the understanding of each other's faith, traditions and ethics and to work for world peace.
The program I am in is a continuing education program, which includes lectures from Jewish, Muslim and Christian teachers along with touring the land and holy sights.
There are 19 in the program from, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Kenya, Zanzibar, USA, Canada.
It is a rich experience of learning, community and prayer.
The dream of one of our Popes is still alive and helping the world to come closer to God's vision of unity. Where am I?----- Tantur Ecumenical Institute Jerusalem, Israel.
